Is it just me or the characters are sticking to each other excessively?
I was noticing that this is a "high-touch" society; a bit like Europe before the Black Death came through.
Romans, for example, would only start speaking to a person once they were physically touching them, and Europeans were well known to be almost
holding each other while placing hands on chests and thighs for a casual conversation, depending upon what area they were from.
Then came the Bubonic/Septisemic/Pneumonic Plague; Yrsinia Pestis, known as the Black Plague or the Black Death.
25% of the population died in 4 years, and it scarred the collective psyche so badly that we still say "Bless You" when people sneeze and are
very standoff-ish when talking to others.
... and that plainly didnt happen in this world.
I'd like to go there... lol...
