Is it a word combination of quote and gundam?“Quondam” is just asking for ppl to complain about wtf that means since it’s such an esoteric word. I don’t even know that word, and I used to read a dictionary out of boredom…
It's likely MC decided it, prb because he didn't want to be stuck in the stupid dragon helmet for the rest of his lifebut why did the gods want to change his job in the first place? unless our MC wanted to do that?
if it was a more serious manga, i could have guessed they wanted their strongest to be a hero, not a dragon knight, potentially even feared that strongest human since he could destroy humanity just as easily as he destroyed their enemies. but so far, this does not seem like such a plot.
I checked the first chapter again, the MC was strong enough to literally kill a god. They probably granted his job change to keep him from getting pissed off at them.but why did the gods want to change his job in the first place? unless our MC wanted to do that?

I wasn't sure if it was a typo, or if he was being called invisible on purpose because as a dragon knight he never showed his face. I was thinking of re-reading from ch1 to see if that's the case, but first I came here to complain about the word Quondam being misused.Invisible? I thought it was the carrier guild leader that was invisible, while mc's past job only made him invincible.
He reached the peak of dragon knightness, and so he needed to change the job. It seems to be the sort of story where one would take 100 levels in every class, than take the next class, and so on.but why did the gods want to change his job in the first place? unless our MC wanted to do that?
I think the better term would be "unseen". As in, nobody has seen his face under the helmet, and overall he is shrouded in mystery.Invisible? I thought it was the carrier guild leader that was invisible, while mc's past job only made him invincible.
Yeah, I did wonder what kind of gods names their skill as an adjective. Though not as much as consider it in grammar terms, mostly thinking that "The [Former] skill" was a very off-putting name (credits page even included a pic of the definition, so the translators must have done what one does when using rare words: read it once with the a synonymous word they are used to, to see if it fits at all).Quondam is an adjective, but where is the noun it's describing. You might as well be saying, "Let's confirm the capabilities of the old while we can." The old what? What old thing are we confirming the capabilities of?

It's established that he wanted to retire from his old job now that the demon king's gone, so he went to the job change shrine and get a new divinely-ordained job like anyone else (since originally his job was granted by his magic helmet). At various points he remarks on the inconvenience of his old job, particularly having to always wear the helmet.but why did the gods want to change his job in the first place? unless our MC wanted to do that?

Seriously speaking? No, it’s an actual word, but it’s the kind of word that ppl use to flex their vocab. Is it a word combination of quote and gundam?
