I will say, as much as I appreciate the translators for bringing this series over, they switched to a Literal Translation style on this series a while back and that causes at least half of the confusion that ppl have on this series. Direct translation of Japanese is chunky and hard to read for English readers. Add in the vagueness the author puts to create a mystery and you end up with confusion over here.

BUT I'd rather be slightly confused than miss out on this Wacky adventure and as a person a few chapters in the future, the gag/ lighthearted story will be back shortly. This author just likes to take a dip into drama every now and then before returning to comedy

sure let me know what your confused about in particular and I can go into better detail.
But in summary:

-The Demon king ask the party to deal with the squatter at the park
-the old hag harasses the male members when they get too close. Shayu and the Fly dont want to use force for different reasons (Shayu cuz shes the hero) and the fly/demon folk ( since they don't want to seem hostile towards the humans that they recently reconciled with)
-the old hag makes Shayu and Tofia do the dungeon where they get aphrodisiac-ed. Old hag also drugs Itsuka and the other members with love sickness
-Tofia idolizes Shayu but doesnt want to actually get romantic with her so she goes off the rails and punches the core of the dungeon which makes it rampage

-The demon King's aids step in when chaos starts with force and chastise Shayu for doing a bad job ( admittedly true lol).

-The old hag counters saying it's the demon's fault for making the Dungeon staff "play as the bad guys" when they dont want to scare ppl anymore. The Aids accept some of the blame and return the beatup Itsuka (got a rock to the face in the chaos)

-Itsuka wake ups and immediately tries to kiss Shayu under the drug's influences but resists. Shayu however doesnt resists the aphrodisiac at all and takes a kiss (LOL) from the flustered Ituska. This cures them from both the old hag's drugs.
-Riyo cures himself and the fly. Rufue who is not cured, is "saved" by the male aid which triggers the old lady's drug and she takes him off to do unspeakable things (I admit, not the best joke)
-Itsuka trys to confirm with Shayu that she only kissed him because she was drugged but she says she would kiss him anytime as long as he was ok with it. Itsuka dismisses this as her just being flirty

-The Fly and Riyo talk. The fly guesses "Something" has stoped for Riyo (most likely time itself) and admits that his power are time based. He eats time to make go forward and "throws up" to restore time things to a prevous state. Itsuka thinks about this and the Fly guesses that Itsuka is thinking about Restoring the Shayu since she is Acting less and less like a hero ( this part is talked about in the next chapter)
-Itsuka looks pissed that the fly is prying but lets him continue. The Fly says he doesnt recommend restoring Shayu since restoring living things doesnt always work correctly and to make this point starts to question Tofia. It is revealed that when he restored Tofia from being a Giant in the Gaint arc something messed up (first she forgot about Shayu and the fly which he "fixed" when he attacked her after the bath. but then she lost something else) and now she cant remember her age or home.
-the Fly reachs to do something to Tofia but both Shayu and Itsuka stop him.

I think Priest is partially deaf, which can't be time-reversed. So likely from a young age. And what lovely fantasy hearing aids! That could relate to having issues hearing a temporally out-of-joint beelz when their faces aren't close. Great representation if so.

His petite body seems amenable and comfortable to him, however it's locked in or not he/they (ideal translation unclear) passes as a petite adult. It could be natural, could be a magical equivalent of anti-androgen HRT. Femme androgyny wouldn't be priest's style if he wanted pronounced male secondary sex characteristics in the first place.

I'm glad the fly isn't outright villainous, and even less dubious than most of the antagonists thus far. That's interesting even if it was hard to decypher the translation and dialogue placement this chapter.

Uggh you when I want to call out the deafness and HRT thing as BS, this series is just so damn crazy that there is a realistic chance it's an actual correct explanation.

Anyway from what I see the fly is a loyalist of the demon lord and sees others as test subjects at best, especially humans.

And when we all thought Tofia is the normal out of them all, here is one big reveal. If I guess properly some of them died on the first encounter fighting the Demon King, and Beelz just restored time to resurrect them, Itsuka is probably one of the survivors knowing his the one who sealed the Demon King's arms.

Oh no why you gotta go a say this. Maybe everyone but Shaayu and Itsuka did died or got close to death that day? It would make sense why he thanked Shaayu for protecting him. Itsuka was supposed to be downed and She was doing a last stance at that moment to protect him at all costs (maybe even more so than the others). She was completely surprised that he managed to cast a spell.
Maybe after everything settled, Riyo was able to "heal" himself and the other two? That's why Riyo getting sleep is important because he's actively using his power to keep them alive.

I know this is a far fetch idea and I hope its not the case.

I understand the author having to come up with a premise over a very simple but popular introduction but the layers they are adding are only confusing and anachronous with the usual story of a hero and its party. I don't know if they can un fck it up at this point.

The story always had dark undertones and a long reaching arc. I’m not sure how people missed that.

Well, to be fair, the OG was silly hen… ecchi fun, so maybe that’s why. Many writers can kill it with a short story, but have no idea how to make it into a longer one.
