I'm defo interested in seeing how this plays out with the saintess (Although I'm really over all the "good people positions" actually being evil trope) cause overall this series has been pretty good, one of the better revenge series.Either she is such a zealot she thinks there is no way a human would join them no matter what, or she is just saying her excuse like she was going to tell anyone else.
My bet is on the second - she does have what is basically braiwashing powers after all.
And... I think the Record Keeper was able to escape because he did not notice she had "recorded" herself in that new body, not until it was too late? But again, she was not a fighter, so I can see why he would not kill her.
I can't remember but was it MC who let Record Keepeer go? I don't wanna have to back read cause if he did all this is from writing that doesn't fit with his character. Also once again we have "The church is evil" alongside that the humans were also the bad guys trope that has become a super annoying "twist" that needs to go.
Edit Also forgot to mention, why would she think he was brainwashed when the humans were the ones to betray the Hero?
Though, can you still call this a revenge series at this point? MC isn't actively seeking revenge anymore, but simply picks up revenge on the side of the way he is currently walking. Is there even a revenge target left, that directly betrayed him? He is more like a protector of the weak. I even dare to say, he would abandon a situation to carry out revenge, if some of his allies or protection targets would be in danger. He has no qualms about killing though. That would make him a dark protector, instead of a classic one.one of the better revenge series.
Nah. The Saintess isn't that crazy to acctually believe this. My guess is she might not know of the betrayal. Then again that church seems to be pretty well informed. Even by the record master herself. But either way if she does or doesn't know of the betrayal, I guess she assumes something like a political alliance between him and the demons or him seeking recognition and fame on the other side anyways. (Many evil characters have problems in seeing altroistic motivations in other peoples.) Of course her goal is to brainwash him herself and to blame brainwashing on the other side for image reasons.Edit Also forgot to mention, why would she think he was brainwashed when the humans were the ones to betray the Hero?
I only said better revenge series cause he actually performs said revenge and doesn't do that half assed forgive pull many do and it was done pretty quickly too.Though, can you still call this a revenge series at this point? It's such a two-bit world that it was expected the church is just as bad as any other human government/organisation.I actually thought that this church might actually be reasonable... but oh... she a bich
pretty fine with it. It went from decently unique to the same boring story as everything else. "muh church bad" is so tiringFrom Consistent Upload to Completely Dropped
