I mean, that much was obvious already in this chapter. What I am more confused by is why she suddenly assaulted her friend like that (it is obviously unrelated to what she grew, since those don't have that effect). And why her friend suddenly got mad about it unlike all prior times she assaulted her in public. That part was very inconsistent
