@Freestyle The merchant told him that this is a cup for wife and husband. He buys a pair offer a girl one and straightforward says that he will sell the second one. Either buy something noncommittal or just don't say that you will sell the matching one. Even if this was a normal present this just looks bad.

Yeah i call bullshit on this one. Even for a Japanese protagonists this is a little much. The merchant straight up tells a modern business man that these are cups to use as gift for married couples. He either offers both cups to the demoness as a gift, or uses both as a product to be sold. They loose a lot of value when seperated. This last scene makes him out to not just be culturally insensitive, but a completely incompetent business man.

The author has already established with that light stone scene that they are alright with forcing these stupid situations for the sake of this extremely shitty and annoying form of comedy. And the fact that being asked to assist with a task immediately becomes "It's a date" is itself overused and beyond idiotic. It's not a serious manga. It's mostly a comedy. It's also extremely stupid. Read it for what it is. Or, you know, don't.

Merchant:............."These are the HUSBAND AND WIFE cuos, they come in PAIRS"...
Also MC:................I'll give one to wifu-material and tell her "I'll sell the other"....
Aren't there limits for stupidity in isekai manga characters....?

This is why girls was hard to understand...
We didnt know of what we are saying was effective or not, and will forever reprimanded as dense

I think MC was not dense. Its just, his focus was really on work.
Also, did you ever wondered if a relationship between colleagues in real life will work on you?
For me, it will not work. For others, it will work. It depends on you actually.
But, the number of in relationship between co-worker are not that many after all.
So MC focusing on work than romance, is actually spot on...
hum... As far I know, this vision of coworkers having romantic issues is not that strong in Japan.
But, I agree he is just to focused in work, thus the "work monster"

@cullinaire

I have little doubt that those two will end up in a relationship at some point, or at least show more interest in one another as time goes on. As you said, that is the way these things tend to go. I was more commenting about the "dense" remark. I see so many people call an MC "dense" when he doesn't show interest in a female lead that shows interest in him I just finally felt like sharing my thoughts. I wasn't trying to antagonize you or single you out or anything. I just think it's odd that so many people instantly label a guy as "dense" when they don't notice a female's feelings for him, despite that fact that the guy can't read minds and doesn't know the woman's inner thoughts like we as readers do, in addition to the fact that the guy genuinely just may not be interested. There are plenty of series out there where if a girl flirts with the MC, the MC reciprocates because his personality is more on "interested in woman is my main trait" side. I'd just think that if a guy doesn't reciprocate, then it stands to reason he's not the type of guy who has girls on the brain all the time. Like, attraction to the opposite sex doesn't come before the things that are important to him or the situation. Ugh.. I don't know. I'm not very good at getting my thoughts out coherently.
I hate when people do this with characters that are totally denying their feelings. (not only tsuns, but it's even worse if it's a tsun).
If someone says something like: "I don't have romantic interest in him" you will not expect the person is lying.
In fact, it's a health posture and it's horrible that people think you should ignore what the person it's stating.
In other words, it's the job of the other side to convey their feelings and at least, not deny it in a way the other side will not think you don't like them.
But, I have to agree with the part of him ignoring the meaning of the cups.

In case it wasn't obvious, the King of Rampage didn't feed the merchant to a crocodile, he fed the merchant's dick to the crocodile. Most likely the merchant was restrained and held down while the croc took the bite.
It was not obvious, at least not to me
