When people rate something it will go up and down depending on what they rate it. Now i know it is somewhat confusing but other people who are not you can vote and like things that you do not also somewhat shockingly their score is just as valid as yours. Usually what people do in this situation is say to themselves "Oh this is not for me i will read something else." rather than saying they could not stand it after 4 chapters while still commenting on chapter 21.

100% guessing but i would assume it will be something to do with treatment between different employees and using the skills they do have correctly. It looks currently like the demi humans are worthless but they have to have a role they can play.

Should probably fix the race/species conflict between demons and demi-humans first.

It might not be that they are racist per se.
It's totally possible that they just consider them inferior and incompetent as they can´t use magic.
They seem to at least still follow orders from Genoma.
But yeah, it's possible it's just a racist bunch of wankers too.

@Goldenzeal that's still racisms they are segregating a race because of that one trait they are unable to control in earth that's usually the skin color in their world it's magic ability .

It's not racism if you hate every race equally.
Jokes aside tho, there is a difference if you dislike a group of people for a quality that they all share, then it is to dislike them for their race.
Even if that quality is shared between all of said race.
Ofc, this also depends on how you define Racism.
If you count all dislike for any group of people as racism then yeah sure, its racism.

If you are racist, you only dislike that one race.
But if you dislike the quality you dislike everybody who shares that quality, even of other races too.

That said, there is an argument for racism if the reason you dislike them is that you think your own race is better for an arbitrary reason.
Then the problem isn't that they are unable to do what you can, it's just that they aren't "like you".
It's not a huge difference at the end of the day, but there is a difference.

So I've been thinking a bit about everything that's wrong with this 'Fortress'.

Firstly, according to the Visuals it's not a Fortress but a defensive Wall (see last page, there are no supportive Buildings behind).
The Wall itself is seemingly build for Ground attacks and the assigned Soldiers also seem to be trained for that only.
But that already shows a few problems with the wall itself: The Forrest infront and behind the Wall is not cleared. In case of an Ground attack the stationed Archers could only shoot from a short range and enemies could sneak up to the wall. But for our aerial attack here this could play into our cards.

Problem category 1: Structure
- The wall is build high and very narrow. It almost can't support the amount of people on top.
- There are no guarding rails. On a Wall this narrow you would need some sort of structure to keep your soilders from falling of the back of your Wall in a combat situation. Also the Structure of high and Low is not needed to your backside. The architect surely shouldn't plan for the enemy being on your own side of the Wall.
- There's no moat or the likes. Moats are important for the Defense of a wall as they are an extra barrier to keep people from climbing the wall.
- Idk how to prepare a wall for an aerial attack but a roof to keep the witherns from landing directly on your soldiers would be a good idea.
--> The structure of the Wall is unstructured for an aerial attack and it is barely passable for ground defense. This makes me think that the Wall was build as a show of power or as an indicator for the political borders.

Btw why don't the Wyverns just fly over the Wall? There is no implication as to why they have to attack it head on in the first place.

Problem 2: Organisation and Tactics
The organisation is a mess. The soldiers do not respect each other, the demons do not respect the beastman commander, Nobody seems to remember their assigned positions and a few people do not seem to realise the position they are in?
-- Are they playing Rock-Paper-Scissors during an attack?

- Firstly all Participants in battle are disorganised on top of the Wall.
Our Participants are:
Spear bearers( beastman)
Magic users (demons)
Archers (beastman)
Commanders
Squad leaders

- First battle positions. there are two differen't kinds I have in mind.
1: Spearmen front, Demons middle, Archers back.
2: Demons front, Spearmen middle, Archers back.
(Posibility of placing archers in front of the wall)
In those positions they should be able to get the most out of their figting strength.
The Spearmen are in charge of guarding short-range and intercepting the wyverns before the can attack the other participants. (The acting commander shouldn't be the only one acting against the wyverns on top of the wall).

The Demons are in charge of middle to long range.
According to their horrible firring arcs it's the position they are most suitable in.

If possible they should change the magic to be more accurate. These 'Fireballs' didn't even come close to the wyverns!
If not they have to fire later; they fired to early! Their Squadleader has to be more calm and needs to be more aware of their attack range.

The Archers are long range and crowd controll.
The Archers must be more unified and fire together.
They are equipped with long bows so the quivers are limiting them in their max shooting speed. They should stick their arrows in the ground like the OG English Longbowman( Of course it wont work on pure stone; they surely have something to stick it in. Also look up the English Longbows they are fricking stong!)
They also have to designate people to refill/restick the arrows.

Some tactics/ more points:
- Inform the soldiers about the weak points of wyverns. The commander seems to know that the eye is a weakpoint so she should inform her soldiers about that.
- The Archers should fire in one Valley together and maybe even fire fire arrows. It seems that the wyverns do not attack at Night, even when the defenders are highlighting their position with so many fires that they probably don't have enough wood to keep that up for a Night. That makes me belive that the wyverns are scared of fire.
- Get the races more together. The demons clearly despise the beastman for not being able to use magic; they are disrespectful to each other; The demons probably only follow the commands of the commander, because she is an Shitennou. (That's the most difficult issue to solve)
- Dispatch resources evenly. At the end we only see the demons eat, while the beast man have to wait for their turn, or the beastmean are expected to eat something else less(comander says they don't need to eat so much)
- Dispatch some demons/ wounded in the forrest to do ranged attacks. In the forrest they are Protected by the trees and are able to move more freely.
- I havn't seen somebody on top of the Towers. There should be some people.
- Have more people stand guard. The rush to get out at the beginning only raises confusion.
- Give the people infront shields. The wyverns apparantly only attack with their claws despite their inteligence to get the demons to fire to early. (If i were a wyvern I would certanly throw some boulders at them to increase confusion and to destroy the wall)

This is way to long, took too much time and has many errors. Enjoy.

@Goldenzeal I mean if you don’t think hating on none magical races is not racism and demon who have strong magic are superior to other race even have that protector mentality in the previous chapter as the MC has stated in that same chapter maybe if you give them proper tools they would have achieved the same thing as people with magic even stating magic has a disadvantage of cast time. Hate to admit but best girl kinda racist just because she has one none magic species as a friend doesn’t change that fact (just like how you can’t claim you are not racist if you have black friends) and they don’t hate all race elfs are there and the ogre too and those two race doesn’t seem to trigger a reaction of hate with the demon girl even though the wolf girl is of the same ranking as her.

Them segregating beast folks and only feeding them after they have eaten is a way to show racism heck I don’t even know if they feed them.

Overall the MC will not be able to fix this problem long term pretty sure we’ll encounter something similar to this later on maybe even the next arc but he can definitely fix this short term.

it is fairly obvious that in a war, the side that doesn't hold itself together properly will be the one to fall. racism is a huge detrement, and he's gonna give them an earful

@Eicosan an excellent breakdown. it is clear that the authors didn't give a crap about anything other than the problem of racism and how it negatively impacts the soldiers. basically everything not directly connected to the MC is neglected completely

I doubt the author would give it as much thought as you have, after all the MC is meant to be a master negotiator not a warfare specialist, but let's hope that the author gives us a satisfying solution that would do your analysis justice.
