Now that I'm in the middle of the next chapter, I don't think it's that hard for him to come back. He just needs to turn himself to the police.

They'll come in contact with the police on that prefecture and end up receiving a call from the station where his sister asked for him.

On the other hand, looks like the police is awful at its job in Japan?
