Before you check out this manga, please keep in mind that is made by the same mangaka from Beastars. Then read the premise, go WTF?! and proceed reading that if she made such a complex, bizarre anthropomorphic animal story that went out to be a best selling cult hit. what the hell we she hit us with transforming Santa.

nah this shit is fire. obviously a lot cliches and stuff, but the plot is so damn unique that I can't help but love it. not to mention i have a very vulnerable soft spot for unique art styles and this hits it straight on the head.
also, the teacher is slowly becoming my favorite character.

I gave this one a rating of 10 because it's bizarre enough that I think it falls outside my normal rating scale entirely. If you want something vastly different from ordinary, this is a real gem.
I'm not sure it's my cup of tea, but it certainly is interesting.

Itagaki Paru please we need more Beastars its not enough, i love Beastars and i want to know what happens with Haru, Legosi, their kid and gosha and i really need more of it i love the manga and Netflix adapted series i also admire the way you did this manga Sanda and i hope you keep doing stuff like this but i also want something that is like Beastars with the human/animal people and how they suffer from society standards.
Yeah, its message is essentially that growing up isn't scary, and trying to hold on to the past is unhealthy for the soul.

I think the shonen editors got to Paru to make it more even more shonen-like because what the hell happened post cemetery trip. It was such a strong start, I was in love with the themes, but then they add more descendants I didn't care for, and it got sooo bloated with fights and shonen tropes. The training camp, the fighting tournament...
They also completely forgot about Ono which was the start of it all and Fuyumura was like completely pushed to the side. The more I think about it, the more angry I get. They introduced the whole "bring back to life blood" plot point to then not use it for Ono but instead CONSIDER using it on that weird ass fucking teacher who got shot. I couldn't even bring myself to fully read the rest of the chapters, I was so out of it. They added like a bunch of new characters to the main circle, and I couldn't even care for a single one. What's crazy is that Sanda's government wife had more screen time than Fuyumura, one of the main characters for the story, did at one point near the end, and she didn't really add much to the plot. What a disappointment.
My theory with Ono's underwhelming dismissal is they didn't like having fully open queer characters in this so they made Paru shove them off of the story.
Is that copium? Maybe. Maybe it was Paru herself who did that, who knows. Man, I'm just sad and disappointed.

at the same time its good, its bad, the plot absolute no sense, unique yes good? i dont know! the ending made absolutely no sense and at the same time it did!
first for those who like a happy ending i dont recomend it..
second this is more bizarre then jojo's, bro there are some huge ass pulls, i just wanted a normal good shounen and what i got was a will to shoot myself, the ending is basically even worse than MHA.
