I love how sympathetic this manga is to the elderly. Even though it causes troubles, it also makes it clear why an elderly person might really have their lives enriched by a pet. I think that shows a compassion for them far deeper than if they told a story that was unilaterally positive about the idea.

Dog got a perfect "if only you knew how bad things really are" meme face in the first page. Feel bad for the owner though, dog seem to be active enough.
