Meiji Era was around 1868 and Jogoro was 18, in story timeline it's 2012 so he is 162 years old at least.
Sada was mentioned by Jogoro when he first spotted Rea in the washroom, it was his first wife, but she fell ill and looks like he tried to revive her as well as other villagers... can understand his sorrow to make them return but he didn't understand they were a living dead, not capable to live and soon either go after living or die anyway.
Oh shit, Rea has the same symptoms as that zombie in ZoMA who at first were friendly to animals but ate them in Confused State...
