This is pretty strange; normally in an arranged sparring match such as this, the adult boxer would be told to assume a defensive stance, only lightly striking when their opponent was being excessively reckless. The aim is to teach the upcoming boxers how to prevail through the rounds, not pound them senseless immediately, lol. I understand there's a stretch of reality in this manga, but wow that was harsh. I'm surprised Saotome didn't suffer a concussion.

Yeah sure, lets KO the 16 year old kid during sparring, that'll show her how to fight better! If this was realistic that means she done with practice for a few days while she is assessed and recovers from any head trauma (though I bet this manga will just ignore that ).

Yeah, and the police woman would probably get in trouble as well, that they more than likely let her keep training for the rest of the day is problematic as well.

@Nojay I think we are starting to see why they are having trouble getting qualifying Olympic representatives in this manga.

Reminds me of what I read about high school training for Japanese baseball teams, many schools run their teams like concentration camps which isn't really the most efficient method of producing good athletes
