Why are Japanese always so weird with colds? Rained on - you get a cold. Sudden wind - you also get a cold. Didn't dry your hair after shower? Believe it or not - cold.

It’s not the getting wet that can cause you getting sick it’s the affect on the body lower body temperature can affect your immune system which lets the virus latch on better

Also, I am not a medical professional but I am pretty sure that’s not how the Japanese handle colds.

Tbf, these are the same people who think getting wet will make you catch a cold, so it's not like their superstitions are based on scientific fact.
