Kinda amazing how casually they can just come out. Glad they feel comfortable doing that, but still, wow

Miyano has probably run “what if...” scenarios in his head long before he even had an inkling it would actually be something he’d need to do. Like, read a manga and see something with a character’s parents “how would my parents react?”
Sasaki just didn’t care about much until he met Miyano, so he gets priority over what others think of him. His sister reacting that way hurt him because she was the part of his family that actually actively cares, but he was ultimately right to trust her.
He has reason to think that Hirano would be chill (Hirano is in a spin-off. Yeah), but I still got the impression that he was clenching until it was clear it was all good.

@CashRoot half the reason Miyano spend so long to reply to Sasaki is because he is thinking what people around him will think about him (and Sasaki) if they are dating, he also doesn't want to hurt Sasaki if he half-ass things. The accumulation of his friends and senpai supporting both of them is what eventually give Miyano courage to face his feeling.

So I really love how serious Miyano is. He doesn't take Sasaki feeling lightly. Tbh, I think Miyano is more manly than Sasaki 😂😂

While I’m sure that was a concern, I think it was relatively low on his list of worries as to delaying the relationship.
Half the time was spent worrying “what if we start dating and it turns out I’m straight?” Or “how dare I find someone so cool cute!?” Things are more complicated than that, myaa-chan, yet you’re still overthinking them...

Point is that I know they’re both well aware of homophobia in society, but I don’t think that was anything in the way of them dating, just something to be ready for.

I mean, Miyano did have a fair bit of a psychological barrier to overcome with regard to his own sexual orientation, but again, that quickly shifted from “I’m straight!” to “what if I’m gay?” to “but what if I’m straight?” to “I’m so gay for this man”.

He is indeed the manlier man. He’s the manliest man in here, tied with Ogasawara MAYBE, but Ogasawara is an insecure man.

Read back from the top of the comic and he’s consistently the cooler and more stereotypically masculine. He’s a nerd, and small with a pretty face, but he’s a rock.
Sasaki talks like a rough boy, because he hung with that crew. The rest of him is a sweetie that makes sweeties.

The final blow to Sasaki accepting that he fell in love with a guy was that he
_came to his rescue_, more or less.

Cute face, cool boy. Sasaki, you fell for your man’s manliness, m’dude.

Also, I’d translate what Miyano says as he flops onto his bed as “reading BL is different from how it was before”.

"make it so what's 'normal' becomes what's 'natural'"
So my boy's just spitting some poetry just like that huh?

Considering this comic has a certain commitment to realism, there’s no way to prep, Miyano just said that he’s not a bottom and that Sasaki was at the very least in the mood to top...
They may have gotten close, but nah.

Two people who want to take the same role is a CON VER SA TION, lemme tell ya!
In short: “shit. This just isn’t happening right now, huh. Ok, who’s willing to try to do what? We both want to do something.”

Sometimes someone or both need to learn to learn to go switch. 🤷‍♀️
there are some activities couples of any gender combo can do that are neutral, maybe just certain things are off the table...

But Miyano went pale at the very idea of being an uke, and Sasaki seemed to want to try to be switch but not feeling it.

That should be enough to stop things a moment so they can say to themselves “we’re at school. Let’s not rn”.

I didn’t ever make out on the floor in a public place, but I do have experience talking with a partner about... things.
