What the fuck is this
I sure do hope the h-manga and this are not connected. I'm gonna feel bad for the boy if it is.
In what way? They're connected. The author retcons the first two volumes to make it so.
Yo, anyone who knows the raws, can you answer one question for me? Did she get her experience from being a Junior Idol? Honestly might be make or break for me. It's one thing for it to be of her own volition, one that she actively seeked out, but it's another for it to be because of a job.
There's a degree of implication, y'know? Of this happening to other girls, other children, who might not like it as much as she did, and that'd just stay in my mind. It ruins the comedic aspect of it, of why she's so sexual, and just... implies so many bad things. I'm only asking, because in the hentai, they keep referring to it and I just... man, I don't want it to be the canonical reason.
Yes, all the (from my own curiosity as well) actual hentai manga with other people are labeled as "IF ROUTES" by the creator on their fantia. Though, what annoys me about that, is because these are indirectly canon in one timeline or another, that Sasha's behavior can be traced to Canon Sasha. Which, in turn, implies NTR-vibes by themselves, such as the one where she cheats on Master with that Senpai, WHO WE SEE IS STILL INTERACTING WITH HER IN CANON.This is going to be a bit of a schizo post but bear with me. I assume most, if not all, people in this thread are familiar with the doujin to some capacity. My curiosity got the better of me, and I went down to the Sasha lore rabbit hole. First, we have to talk about Haguhagu, the author. He is kind of hard to get info on, seeing as he is constantly banned from twitter, but I am almost certain he is, in some capacity, attracted to Sasha. You can see this from the way he would tweet about her and his obsession with drawing her. One could argue that this is to promo his doujins, but barely anyone sees these tweets. I would link them here, but I don't know if Bluesky is allowed to be linked. With that said, if you've read this discussion board you've probably seen different images and posts regarding Sasha's promiscuity and whether or not the doujins are canon. The answer to that is they are kind of canon. The author is a veritable schizo, he started the serialized manga with the exact same character, for reasons I will never fully understand. He intended for it to be a slightly more comedic and wholesome-ish take on his most popular character. The problem is that even though he got serialized, he chose to also release doujins with the same character on Fanbox and Fantia, which are partially canon to the story. This lends a lot more to the general confusion surrounding the characters, as it makes it harder to differentiate what to take as canon. To set it straight, the serialized story is the true canon, as are the Fanbox doujins(somehow). The controversial NTR ones are on Fantia and are not canon. Despite this, her origin remains the same, and most of the relationships she had in the doujins, except for the fat dude, she had at one point in time in the main universe. From time to time, the author will release stuff on one of these sites that only causes more confusion, which is entirely his fault, but I don't think he cares. Just a bit of expo, so you know what you're getting into.
Now, on to the character herself. From what I've gathered through the Sashaverse, Sasha is some sort of child gravure model, which I didn't even know was a real thing. She is from Russia, and her parents divorced, leading to her moving to Japan with her mother and her father staying in Russia. This leads to her having daddy/abandonment issues. Her mother gets a bunch of money in the divorce and spends her time sleeping around, leading Sasha to be alone most of the time. Her loneliness, combined with her daddy issues, is the reason for her promiscuity. This is why she will literally sleep with whatever degenerate comes her way. This continues all the way until around volume 3 of the manga. The manga, in contrast to the doujins, tries to paint Sasha as wanting companionship and not being an actual nymphomaniac. The logic regarding that becomes spotty later in the manga, but that's neither here nor there. As a result of this, Sasha falls in love with Otaku-kun and stops sleeping with other people. This is because, for some reason, apart from sex friends, Sasha is weirdly monogamous. As for whether she is doing this out of her own volition, real-world logic would dictate that, by all accounts, she is a victim, and her behaviours are a result of that. The in-universe reason is that she was taught these behaviors when she was younger and was essentially pimped out as a junior idol and enjoyed it. She stopped being a junior idol and is now in middle school, where she kept her relationships with her sex friends(insane sentence, I know) up until volume 3. The author claims that the manga is one about love and that they will get together in the end.
In the doujins there are several other characters in her agency that are similar to her, but not as much. But they all share the common thread of having some form of complex or trauma that leads to their behavior.
(TL;DR) The mangaka who makes this is a schizo. Sasha voluntarily sleeps around prior to becoming friends with Otaku-kun. There are doujins being published alongside the manga that have Otaku-kun being NTRed that are not canon.
P.S. Believe it or not I read all this purely out of curiosity. I cannot believe the rabbit hole I went down.
I might not be the correct messenger, but I think you gotta just let it go. The manga and related materials are messed up. You can only choose not to give it space in your brain. The decisions the author makes are clearly the result of some fetish and trying to rationalize it will only make your head hurt. At the end of the day, he makes a product for a specific audience you are clearly not apart of(god bless), so you should just walk away. The only reason I even read it was out of curiosity, and it made my head hurt trying to make sense of things.Yes, all the (from my own curiosity as well) actual hentai manga with other people are labeled as "IF ROUTES" by the creator on their fantia. I guess what really irks me is that the fact that she was a gravure idol at all, because what does that add to her character, other than the implication that this is an implict trauma response to being pimped out? It ruins the sexual aspect of her character, because if she never went through that, then she might as well have been a normal child. Much less the fact that this implies this happens to other people, with the fact that a corporation president is on a list of her "Sex-Friends," who might be linked to having sex with more children who won't respond like Sasha.
Thank you, I genuinely do appreciate this advice. Thinking about this, even if I enjoyed it, is only hurting my brain. There was potential, but the author was horny, so its gone. This world just has child actors who are actively pimped out, and it seems to just be accepted, because the author was horny; there is no further discussion.I might not be the correct messenger, but I think you gotta just let it go. Thank you so much for the summary. You've saved me the effort, pain and nausea of going through the material. Unfollowing this immediately. This is going to be a bit of a schizo post but bear with me. After all this, the manga continued to track enough (not just this volume, but the next one too, albeit lower) to keep going and consistently ranked highly in the magazine's app, often in the top 3, to this day. So... like you said, the reality is that while the events did raise some eyebrows, the core fanbase of this manga (those already familiar with Haguhagu and Sasha) weren’t going to be too bothered by these events.I'm wondering the japanese people respond to this series, i bet most of them who read this know about haguhagu's work and a big fan of OG Sasha, unlike most foreigners who mostly only tourist.
you... respect CP?Y'all complaining but you're just not the target audience lol. Author writes for himself (his fetishes) first and foremost, and I respect that.
