I inappropriately laughed out loud when they mentioned the
"Demon Core", which is not actually funny because
two scientists died in two separate events (one of acute radiation sickness twenty-five days after exposure and one from acute myeloid leukemia in 1978, over three decades after but still attributable to exposure to the radioactive coure). I don't think an actual high school science club would have a Demon Core in their possession, not that this is an entirely realistic series because the occult club already summoned an actual (very low-level and easily punchable) demon.
It's nice to see this series avoiding the "science club hates the occult club" cliché, at least in the current timeline.
