I was under the impression that sixth son had never taken on real jobs. He killed people who challenged the dojo, sure, but my understanding is that he never went pro. So is the Korean boss targeting the wrong guy or is he satisfied just taking out any member of the family?

I hoped for seinen about assassins, but it's turning into more of a shonen than even Sakamoto Days (which is a shounen).

So Satsudou is actually a comedy manga with the occasional neat fight. :thonk:

Honestly, wouldn’t be surprised if they were satisfied taking as many of them out as possible no matter who they were. From the sounds of it almost every single person in this murder martial arts family is an absolute freaking demon with a deathstroke level body count. So as far as said family’s enemies are concerned, any victory is a massive victory.

I like where things are going with the Kickboxing guy. He could act as a very interesting bridge between the MC & the criminal underworld and how best to keep his normal life safe. Which is pretty fitting, considering technically speaking it’s 30% this Kick Boxer’s fault that his life is ruined to begin with.

Oof, this chapter is a real mess. First and foremost, it's screwed up the manga's escalation of threats to the MC. This new baddie is supposed to be some kind of taekwondo wunderkind super weapon...and he's matched by the injured thug who was effortlessly beaten in chapter two? The same thug who was completely helpless against a hitman who the MC had no trouble with? It's completely undermined the new villain and removed the idea that he's a threat.

Second, why is the chapter two thug suddenly helping the MC? They've had one brief interaction where the MC humiliated him in front of his lackeys. He's got literally zero character beyond "violent, arrogant thug", where did his sudden friendliness come from? Did I miss a chapter where it turns out the MC reminds chapter two thug of his little brother or something?

Hopefully this is a one-time fuckup. I've really enjoyed this series so far, I'd hate to see it devolve to crap.
