you can but require neuroscience to develop the brain monitoring devices . Psychologists testimony is useless as people from fantasy world would not believe them as they have no tangible proof only their expertise.
oh no no no here's the thing....we've warred a lot before the world wars. it just so coincides that the 2 world wars (especially WW1) are accompanied with huge technological leaps that would have an exponentially significant increase of people being exposed to very loud explosing thingies. it is said that it's quite common to sleep on the trenches with your comrades only to wake up alone because they're been turned to rat food. add in the scale and it's no wonder that all of a sudden there's a lot more people than the last few centuries that are diagnosed with "shellshock" (PTSD implied to come from surviving a very close encounter with the artillery)
@Robbini I meant with a historical perspective. The person people liked gets to be a 'Hero', while the disliked one is a 'Villain'. Even if the 'Villain' was actually a good person, and the 'Hero' was a monster. Like Mr. Innkeeper here.
Battle Fatigue / Stress, Shellshock, PTSD etc. whatever you want to call it. It's always existed during major conflicts.
WW1 & WW2 just made it much more visible because a) Millions of soldiers participated b) Many nations participated c) The industrialized version of warfare made it a lot easier to occur
A bunch of rough and menacing looking Jack charas just hanging outside the beginners' dungeon.. Funny.. but why?
Lol, tough luck for people wanting to use mental traumas for lawsuits.
