Think he’s referring to the fact the dude who did the TL is apparently a known scammer.

Unsure of if it’s true but I saw many people comment as such in another manga and it’s worth noting some more of that got translated soon after (I believe by the same guy)

The way they beg for money certainly feels that way, but they keep putting out chapters and don't appear to have ripped them off someone else, so I don't know if you can call them a scammer. Shady might be right word.

BTW, anyone know where chapters 52 and 53 are? I'd like to keep reading this series but no way am I going to skip chapters.

this guy once did make a group, they do beg money back then and no one make a fuss.
and yes, someone actually do paying them.
but turns out he not paying his staffs and nuked discord when someone point it out, then went away for months.

who knows if he already paid the debt with now back begging again after he said never gonna touch translation again.
also now clearly he using mtl + free raws he can get on another site, so no reason to give him any money.

So a few things, the raws cost around 5 for a volume, you he claims to need 15 for the next 6 chapters, then puts a contradicting statement of its all going to the translator. Then he is using a payment method were you cant tell if someone payed already, so he can get multiple and still act like he only got one. If he is commissioning a translator then he is only giving them one of the payments and pocketing the rest. If he is the translator its just a odd statement as who else would get it, unless he isn't working alone in which case it should be split. Scam isn't exactly the right word, sketchy or taking advantage would be more accurate, though also sounds like he screwed his old group by embezzling there profit.

The translation is the genuine work of the translators, the translators work the chapters with his/her promise to paid them after the chapters r done, the chapters r done n s/he post it under his/her name, s/he then vanish after that process with the money without paying the promised amount to the translators n other staff...
That's what I get from reading several comment section here...

Dude, at least post your full receipt. If anything, that looks like a point for him, not against him.
And how many chapters did you do to get offered 1.5 grand anyway, and why didn't you, I don't know, ask for partial payment or something so you can bail out before dipping too far

Can we see more of your convo? From only reading the screenshot it seems like his money was taken/he was blocked from receiving by government banking regulations in his country. Nothing from him about crypto or anything.

Lot of drama without any proof whatsoever.
From outside it just look like a group that exploded from internal drama, any side could be right, we just don't have the information to judge/decide who is.
And honestly i don't really care about group drama so i am not planning on knowing more about the situation nor finding the truth.

I remember one of the chapter got deleted here because there were a few missing pages (like 10 pages i think ) and i dont think u can count on the translator to fix them ,You can find them on one of the aggregator sites i guess ,i just used ocr translator on the missing pages from a raw provider site to comprehend them

TBH I've given up on the money by now, but hey, If I can be that mosquito that is annoying him constantly, I can live with that.
Anyway, sure, I can upload the entire chat somewhere (not that it would help me) I was ready to do a chapter from each of the series he's gonna TL and call him out on the last page, but a friend of mine said it's not worth is and I agreed.
