I haven't been so annoyed with an ending to a story that spits on the core premise of personal growth and improvement, processing trauma and becoming a more well-rounded person since Dexter.

Completely mental girls and their victims. The ending I can’t say was unexpected from someone so…mental, but probably went a bit too far for the sake of having a plot twist, which again, was not as shocking as it should’ve been considering the previous 2 chapters

Yeah, that was one of the least satisfying endings I've ever had the displeasure of reading.

All of the pieces were there in the story to justify it happening, but nothing in the writing/tone suggested that it was going to happen. I guess that highlights the overall issue of the story constantly flip-flopping on it's tone.

Aside from the ending feeling very out-of-nowhere, the other issue is that there's no real closure. We see literally nothing of how the ending affects the other characters in the story, which would have gone a long way towards making that ending bearable, even with how abrupt it was.

makes me think an editor was like "bruh i know you worked hard to do the whole yandere redemption story thing but we cant print something where someone who does so many bad things is let off scot free so a classic resolution is for them to die. think you can fit that in at the end?"

anyway this neads the tragedy tag i guess
