People like to forget that there are creators behind all titles, but this is especially true for self-published. Maybe users are too desensitized or perhaps even motivated by how shitty the traditional publishers treat mangaka that they think it's okay to do that. Until the ratings stop being anonymous, we shall never know for sure.

The creators should know what site they're publishing on, no?

Artist deserve more recognition, sure, but given that this site isn't for that.. there's a really simple solution to this: don't allow comics on "manga" dex

You don't get to decide what is and is not allowed on the platform. If the content that's allowed no longer fits your criteria, you're welcome to either not engage with it or consume your content elsewhere. That's also a simple solution.
