The BPs are instanced environments, if you can make it back to the vehicle to transition back to the "real world" then none of your injuries happened, but you still have the experiences. So the injuries are gone, but now you feel the pain that the shock, and then the painkillers, were dulling for you. It's a lot worse for some of the other members we've seen that took massive damage, like 1010 there who lost her internal organs and then had them back.
