I thought this gonna be actual portrayal of battle tactic, but turn out I was wrong. It's another mindless wehraboo shit with hurrdurr Tiger stronk with an edgy start. How come this platoon has only 2 StuGs? Why is there event fewer halftrack than StuG in platoon? Why would anyone use StuG as breakthrough tank, while it supposed to be infantry battalion's organic assault gun units? Why would they throw a single Tiger tank into the platoon, that's not even enough to form any viable combat unit? What role of battlefield could fit a platoon with a single Tiger, 2 StuGs, and no mechanized infantry at all? Who in their right mind would force a Tiger into mountainous combat zone?
And that katana is cringe as shit holy fuck
Simple, really, they're not a normal platoon and are probably just tossed random junk their way whilst their main enemies are resistance partisans.
Considering their "never lost a battle" status, that's probably how they were even approved to get a Tiger.
So only two Stugs(one out of comission wwith a lack of crew)and a single Sd.Kfz. 251?,seems to carry enough of them.
Use as breakthrough?,not much of a choice left for them, and they're not on the frontlines either.
Single Tiger?,I wonder why not a Panzer IV,but they must've really done well enough, and should work wonders against ill-equipped resistance troops.
Battlefield role?
They've clearly only been given anti-partisan duty, otherwise they would've blown themselves off into many little pieces.
Mountain terrain?...you forgot the map, didn't you?,they took the long way through the mountains to avoid the danger zone, but the Tiger most certainly went straight through it,got lucky that the ambush was planned in the village only.
Katana...overhyped,but considering they didn't shout for a duel,it's alright, more so once the next chapter gets read.
