To be honest, I don't think the Teacher's teaching style is bad however that style doesn't match with the setting.
Sure, maybe one student wants to go to art school but not everyone who joins an art club has goals like that. She would be way better in an art prep school that specifically teaches kids who want to go to the competitive field.
I will however give her flack for the "here to get results, not make friends" mentality. Networking is important in any field but especially in Art.
I mainly refer to the style itself, and not the personality behind it. When I see educators teaching, I seperate teaching style and personality (some personality doesn't alway lead to certain styles after all). A lot of people give flack to the pressuring style, but it can work with some people (I'm one of those people). Her teaching style is bad.
She's projecting her insecurities from her student days all over her students while trying to live vicariously through the clubs pres. She alienated, harassed and acted in a bigoted manner while being unremorseful and arrogant. She's not suited to teaching even if her advice is helpful.
Nah. I argue she's best suited for teaching. Especially for those that want to be the best of the best. Obviously if you're someone that just draw for fun it's not the best fit but she's great at keeping someone disciplined. Someone else said she'll be far better at a prep school for arts specifically, teaching students that are super duper serious about it.Her teaching style is bad.
