I call this the drop of memory. It contains specific memories of the old Victorian era representing the lavish glamour and simple lives of the old. But, these memories tell a secret, a horrible secrete of the past and its origin. As one continues to delve longer into the memories one tends to slowly become the person who takes in these memories. This vial is made by a person who once lived in an orchard, but due to lust and the urge to bond with the female body, he took and presented the perfume, which he made through despicable acts, and showed it the world. But alas, his creation had ended him in the most inhuman and vile way which even demons would take glee and euphoria with that act. Thus his memory stays within his supposed gift contained within the liquid in which it lay. Waiting for it to be viewed by others and become the person who made it.
It's basically the memory of the person in the movie "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer." And, this is just a speculative made up summary of an origin story made by be. Still, it fits quite well though, and was inspired from the "Harry Potter" memory thing from Prof. Dumbledore's memory cabinet containing vials of liquid like memories, and a bit mostly from "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer."
