The immediate use that comes to mind is magazines like the Manga Time Kirara series or WSJ, where many of the manga tend to have the same vibe. Could benefit many people who want similar manga to something they're enjoying, but other tags are too vague (Comedy/Action/Fantasy/Demographics) and the author doesn't have many published (or scanlated) works (or their previous works are dramatically different from the manga you're looking for, cough Akihiro Ononaka).
Would simplify the search far easier than check the manga, go to manga updates, randomly click through the barebones/nondescript UI until you maybe find something that stands out, then go BACK to MD to actually search for the manga, only to find that what you picked is actually different from the impression you got from MU and going back to MU to search again.
