Gin is looking at a piece of art in Andrew Wyeth's book called Lovers and it contains a nude woman.
I wonder if the woman is Sakura?
Andrew Wyeth was a real painter. Lovers was painted in 1981 and the woman in the painting is Caucasian and blonde.

I personally never got Wyeth as an artist, but Lover's does bear a stricking resemblence to how Sakura looks nude, probably was an inspiration for the mangaka.

I don't know how I feel about this anymore, in the beginning him learning about the nude human body was somewhat ok, its already questionable with it being a female teacher at the school modeling for him in private, but with feelings changing and another student teacher relationship being introduce with them still in school, feels kind of predatory to me. Like what is happening at this school?
This is a reply to you and everyone else who's suddenly got your panties in a bunch.

You gotta realize that this manga has been egging in this direction since the beginning. It is more serious and less mindless ecchi than most Teacher x Student stories though, and maybe even more realistic, but you seriously couldn't expect a healthy het teenager to not eventually develop feelings for his smoking hot cool and open-minded art teacher whom he constantly sees naked, with her smoking hot body on display? It's already quite a personality feat that he's not lusting over her, but seriously developing feelings instead.

Him not developing feelings for her was the uncharacteristic thing in the first place. It made for more interesting plot and characters development, so I think we must keep applauding this approach, but not shun the story for delving into the forbidden relationship aspect of the situation. We also still don't know where it's going to go. It might go the refusal route, or the romance route. I'm in it for the latter.

Just last chapter i was saying how Kuroki was trying too hard, and that town is hopeless

This chapter confirms that the only thing those teachers are good at is at grooming their students

people automatically assuming that the last page is being framed like a normal and fine thing when we’ve only had one page of context and Okuda has already shown to be a piece of shit are funny

The main relationship was already questionable, but that last panel is just actual grooming. Giving it one more chapter in hopes it's a fake out, but if not fuck this shit.
Also doesn't help that I feel like the author is trying to set up a way to excuse these kinds of relationships as legitimate.
Why does it have to be a fake out that Okuda is a creepy werido, as it’s already been shown? Why are you assuming it’s being framed as a fine thing?

I'm saying it has to be a fake out to be okay. Honestly I'll probably drop it anyway since even the main relationship is developing in a gross direction, none of this is fine at this point and I really just wish we had another Blue Period type manga.

I'm amazed people didn't guess the direction this would take from the getgo?

I think the creep male teacher though with Maki is worse from what we know of him but it could be "safer" or "innocent" but prolly not.

The main potential couple has been hinted though from ch1 and the story could go 2 ways, they end up together with trials and tribulations or they dont end up together and MC ends up with like maki or someone.

Never been an actual art student so I am not very familiar with tools used in professional drawing aside from the basic pencil and eraser.
Seeing him use a paper cutter to sharpen his pencil. Is it normally what artists do to get better shading and stuff? 🤔
Cause it got me thinking if I was there, I probably would have got a cut on my hand for sure 😅
Yup it's something done a lot for charcoal pencils actually.
First, charcoal is fragile and a standard sharpener may break it very easily. Second, for shading, most artists prefer to have a rounded, bullet-shaped lead that you can only get by sharpening it this way and finishing with sand paper. It makes you able to use the point for details, and the side for a spectrum of different line thicknesses.

However, it takes time and caution to sharpen it correctly with a cutter. I've never seen anyone doing so in a rush during a life drawing session. Gin has indeed been a bit wild here. ^^'

What the hell? Maki's banging the tubby teacher? where the heck did that come from? It doesn't even seem in character for her. Was there some hint earlier?? and I swear she was drawn as having smaller boobs than that before.

Damn look at that scowl Maki while blushing on the last page. that horny-pissed ]-off look. You can tell she loves it. Maki, you hot little slut.
But still this seems so out of character for her. Where was the hint that she was a naughty girl like that?? I feel like something like that ought to be foreshadowed in some way.

I took a very different perspective. Tan teacher is probably taking advantage of Maki. He is either manipulating her, has some dirt (even that he's sexually abusing her can be the secret he uses to keep her from turning him in), has known her for a long time, etc. She doesn't seem happy to see him, be grabbed, or be in that kind of relationship. Keep in mind that most child sex abuse is from a relative or close family friend, with an unbalanced power dynamic, and it makes it hard for the child to say no. We'll see what the author tells us about their motives, but right now he looks like a predator.

To contrast this to the art teacher, nude drawing with a student is questionable but they're not engaging in any physical activity. She's pushed him into it at first, so I won't say their relationship is free and clear. Just that it's one star creepy, compared to the other teacher's five star perv alert.

Yep, there's many advantages. First is that the "twist" style sharpeners are not very sharp and have a tendency to break the leads, especially on softer leads. Twist sharpeners only make a single sharp point that goes dull very quickly.

But if you use a knife, you can make the lead take a long taper with a controlled shape. It allows you to get a fine line from the tip, or turn it on its side to lay a broader and softer line for shading. I personally like to shape the tip of the lead flat on two sides, and chisel the tip at 45 degrees like a marker. It lets me get finer and heavier lines from the point by twisting the pencil as I draw. Varying line weights leads to a much livelier drawing.

Finally, the other subtle advantage of a long lead is that it makes the pencil more fragile and forces you to use a lighter touch. I hold my pencil at the end and let the weight of the pencil do the mark-making. Too much pressure can score the paper surface and graphite pencils get burnished which makes the surface glossy.

The art teacher, she lets her student decide what he is willing to do, while (semi-forcibly) showing him the options he wants to ignore....

Yanno, like a teacher.

This Four-eyed fuckwit, with his hypocrisy and scummy attitude?
Just seeing him toss his arm around a girl likely half his age makes me want to fuckin puke.
The immediately obvious possessiveness, combined with constantly hitting on the "hot new sex doll sensei" is just...

Fuck, I want to punch a drawing.

He's a drawing... But I promise you, he exists at your nearest high school or community college.

:worry: :wtf: 🤮
