@Kuroku2 Look, I get your points I really do, what I'm having trouble is the fact that you're not acknowledging my underlying problem with Seonhee's reaction and why it's at the root of this current problem. She made her declaration PUBLIC. I underline and bold face that word because this is the main crux of the argument I am making and why it is the root of this problem. She took a very private matter that should have been said to her friend to avoid any misunderstandings if she was every going to say it at all and instead made a completely open declaration to a bunch of duplicitous girls with their own obvious agenda that immediately used it to put the pressure back on Bomi and would likely spread it throughout the entire school had Bomi every confessed to Jaemin now, given Bomi and Jaem's celebrity status in the school. Seeonhe left Bomi to deal with the consequences of her own actions.
Now I don't think Bomi wouldn't be happy for her friend and Jaem getting together at this early start, what she doesn't like is the strain and awkwardness it puts on their friendship because as Bomi has stated she wanted to remain friends with Jaemin despite everything, so I don't believe that's lying to herself at this point. As you said in your last quote she clearly isn't sure just yet, so I don't understand why we're saying Bomi is lying to herself on this specific subject when nothings happened between Jaemin or Seonhee yet to gauge her reaction on. The strain on their relationship is because of the lie about Jing and Bomi trying to keep a friendship distance from Jaemin despite him wanting more, not out of jealousy or a problem with a potential relationship between him and Seonhee (they haven't even interacted much because Bomi is consuming so much of both of their attentions).
It was not any bodies business to know, and it was not Bomi's responsibility to be the one to have to pick up the pieces and try to preserve their friendship from the inevitable scrutiny and rumormongering Seonhee unleashed with again the public declaration (which I really want acknowledged once again on why Seonhee messed up here). but she had to anyway and it is unfair of Seonhee to now try and back track and cover up the mistake with a lie while demanding the truth from Bomi in turn. The problem with your quote is once again Seonhee no longer kept that information to herself, she made it public which is once again the main problem, and she refuses rectify her fault in all this by lying about it afterwards while trying to demand the same of Bomi to admit her own lie which is the definition of hypocrisy from my experience. It doesn't matter what Seonhee intended before, when she made that declaration in front of everyone at that restaurant it was the catalyst you cannot simply take back now that the cat was out of the bag.
