Not a fan of how nonchalant he was about cheating on his wife, but on the other hand it was refreshing to see a more flawed main character than the stuff we usually get. It also is a product of it's time, I am not sure how well a character like Shima would be received nowadays even in 21st century Japan adult audience. Given how this manga seems to have an staggering amount of spinoffs, I am guessing there is a place for him even today
