Yes, I'm also confused at first 😁 But when I reread it, the MC heard the last name "Cardi" of her escort and realized that Male Protagonist had the same family name...she then asked him if he got a son or younger brother.

But he answered that he doesn't...which means his future son who is not yet born will be the Male Protagonist.

Most of the time it seems Haruno-sensei is just doing what he thinks will be funny and building on it later similar to Fujimura-kun mates, I'm at a loss how he is funding himself given his recent low work output and apparent Fate addiction.

I think the MC is not the mother of Male Protagonist. The original novel only mentioned the MC as Brisney's auntie who died (with five years limit in the current timeline) due to her maladjustment mana according to chapter 1.

MC's knight is the father of the future hero. (This dumb looking black haired dude.)
MC's sister is not pregnant with the heroine yet (that shot of her pregnant was a future clip...as was the clip of the MC proposing to the emperor) and MC's knight is not married yet either.
The Emperor is the father of the villain.
MC will be trying to take the place of the villain's mother by marrying the emperor to prevent a tragedy where the villain is born and nurtured.

as disturbing as it sound, royales (and japanese and other stuff) can have cousins marry each other.

I get that everyone is upset by the idea.

What I'm just suggesting is that the MC may also change the story in a way she doesn't want to (by preventing the ML from being born indirectly)
another point is that we know her sister was supposed to be the one kidnapped (not MC). the knight (ML father) maybe punished or something since he didn't properly gard our MC leading to other consequences

Also, The sister will be pregnant in 8 months after the MC was reincarnated, Unless the knight get married soon FL is older than ML... (not saying it's wrong or anything, just explaining my math)
