I don't care if it's a direct translation of the Japanese, but there's no such thing as an Amazoness. It's like saying Queeness or Womaness, adding a feminine suffix to an already feminine word is redundant.
Even worse is I've seen official, licensed translations use amazoness instead of amazon

@panneqaha One of the neat things about English is its morphology. You can twist words in all kinds of ways, usually by changing or adding suffixes. But I agree, adding 'ess' to an already inherent feminine word is a bit much. It reminds me of a mobile add some years ago that used the word 'textingerism' to refer to people who send a lot of text messages.
