She fits perfectly for the role of court jester. A jesters job is to entertain the royalty yes but they also had the job of delivering bad news to the king. Jesters would also insult the royalty and the royalty wouldn't punish them because is they did they would be seen as having thin skin and being weak willed, or that whatever the jester said is true.
