Why doesn't Comick get DMCA/nuked while Mangadex does; I don't know because they essential do the same thing.
(Maybe because Mangadex is more popular)

I’ve got like 900 titles (not counting the ones already nuked) so this is gonna suck…

Mangadex doesn't protect uploaders against any legal action that may arise anymore small or big.
It's a hobby so I won't risk having legal action taken. I would rather continuing to translate without worry.
Do you understand the situation now?

I mean, I'm pretty sure Comick doesn't either. MangaDex is just more transparent about it.

That said, in the first place, legal action has usually been taken against the site hosting the scans, as opposed to the people actually doing the translations.

Hell, you're probably less vulnerable on MangaDex, since MD actually responds to (valid) take-down requests. Other sites are a lot less cooperative with publishers, so if a publisher really wants something gone from there they'd have to go after the uploader.
