I remember getting up to grab the baby for my wife to breastfeed. I'd end up acting as her back support by curling around behind her as she fed them. She'd opted for the epidural for all our kids, but after our last one, we believe the doctor or surgeon had damaged her spinal cord somehow, as she will suddenly have low level soreness or aches around her lower back.

When babies are still newborns, it's both easy and hard to take care of them. It's hard because you can read and prep and help other parents take care of their babies but once it comes to your own, it's a completely different beast.

On the other hand it's easy because the baby is either, hungry, sleepy, needs a diaper change or isn't feeling well (burp or sick).
