Else, it's one thing to get rescued and missunderstand that as a "happy ever after" situation, but it's something else, when they even announce to refuse the help, except the other party commits themself to a relationship. If you're hoping for edge of your seat action from this author, you are crazy lol. This author is the Royal Grand Poobah of dragging pointless conversations on forever. 22 Light novels in, Celia gets her redemption arc from this "save me" shenanigan. TWENTY-TWO.

The anime took this arc in two episodes. Get on with it already! I know the anime is out of sequence to the written works, but it's been over a year and a half since it finished. The novels were finished 3 years ago, and the light novels are on going. Both are likely well past this point in the story, so it's just the manga that's dragging along.

Annoyed as I am, this author is not Royal Grand Poobah of dragging... blah, blah, blah. That (dis)honor falls to Bleach. No other manga had multiple 20 chapter stretches of glorified side characters staring at each other, yelling about their actual power, and how much they've hidden, only to backtrack and say they've hidden more than that every couple of chapters.

I don't like the April's Fools releases too much myself. Don't get me wrong. Some are absolutly hilarious, but the shear amount of them (and some are unfunny on the other hand) brings my ways of consuming mangas to satisfy my addiction to a screeching halt. I get a bit triggered by those joke releases, only finding comfort in the fact, that these are only possible, because the real releases are nearly done and are being hold back for the sake of those jokes. Meaning, the true releases are just around the corner. But I digress.

ON THE OTHER HAND:
The fact, that these fool releases DO screw things up for automated aggregator sites, DOES fill me with endless glee, just like you. So, it is worth it and I totallly concure with you.
