as always, Dolly is very cute & beautiful
I feel like it's similar to the contracting in Tsukimichi, where if the power levels are too out of balance the contract fails or the dominant party is shifted toward the more powerful and there's just no point to a spirit here making a contract with someone where they're in charge.Oh, this chapter is a reminder that his own spirits also pulled some strings to make a contract with him. I'm guessing that while the minimum requirement for a high rank spirit is B rank magic, usually you would need more, as here for an intermediate spirit, the minimum is C rank and apparently usually you would need more. Still, it seems that intermediate and high rank spirits require some really strong magic compared to the lower ranked if B and A rank are probably what they usually need. I guess Meraru is quite special already as an intermediate spirit.
I can't remember if there was any mention of the magic rank needed for the small spirits Sara and Marco have (though as indicated there was definitely the need to level up Kikka).
I guess that's why becoming a spirit mage is so hard; the magic rank needed to form a contract with a smarter spirit is quite high, unless they're very fond of you and even then, but the lower ranked spirits are not too intelligent so getting them to understand the contract is difficult.
Can't wait to see what happens with the adventurer guild. At the same time, I want to see Mel complete her contract first instead of Yuuta being rushed to another scene.
We'll just have to wait and see.
yes in the beginning he had to raise his magic level to form the first contract with Bell. Then again to have enough magic attribute to contract the other little ones. Once that was done he needed to accomplish a token task for each of his contracted greater spirits to complete their contracts.I can't remember if there was any mention of the magic rank needed for the small spirits Sara and Marco have (though as indicated there was definitely the need to level up Kikka).
It feels like befriending a spirit is the most important part. Yes the appropriate level of magic is required for a contract. But all the magic in the world will do you no good as a spirit mage if the spirits think you're shit.I guess that's why becoming a spirit mage is so hard; the magic rank needed to form a contract with a smarter spirit is quite high, unless they're very fond of you and even then, but the lower ranked spirits are not too intelligent so getting them to understand the contract is difficult.
Started reading the web novel since I decided I wanted some Japanese reading practice, it was probably mentioned in the manga too, but Yuuta needed a D rank in magic to contract with Bell, and I assume that's the same for the other small spirits. And yeah, for Yuuta, the minimum was B rank magic for the high spirits, and I believe that was with the high rank spirits wanting to contract with him and making it easier on him. The elemental orb thing they keep presenting him to put inside his own body during contracting is supposed to make it easier on him, and I assume it lowers the magic needed for the contract too.Oh, this chapter is a reminder that his own spirits also pulled some strings to make a contract with him. It's looking more and more like my joke from a previous chapter was correct. Sylphy did a lot of magic without a contract, while Dolly and Dyne got their wishes granted without much effort from them.So Sylphy's boobs got nerfed and Dolly's got buffed.
