He tries to summon him to the guild but MC demands only public space surrounded by other adventures. GM agress but GM is greedy and makes several plans to control MC. But thanks to Sylphi he knows everything and knows to counter the plans.
Day of the meeting MC comes to the guild and GM fails to execute all his plan. In desperation GM signals other adventures to attack MC. Which of course fails. MC fed with GM, who didn't even properly apolgized to him, summons, with the forest spirit help, thorny vines that envelope the whole guild and the people inside. Everyone realises that they picked the wrong side and gets frightened. MC returns to the base with his disciples.
In the time MC is gone guild is in shambles because of the vines and many high rank left town because they fear retaliation from MC. Which results in problems when it comes to gathering materials and all merchants complain to GM. After a while the grand master of the guild comes and punishes GM. When MC returns the grand master apologises to him on behalf of the guild and the GM becomes a criminal slave.

Looking at the real world, people who get into power and use their position to attack people, double down when they are wrong, and never apologize for anything. While people support them without question and demonize their opponents. If this is children's book level villainy, then the real world is a children's bookSo, children's book level villainy, then? That's too bad.
Darn I liked her to.Didn't want to spoil more than GM. The adventurers got also punished but the plot didn't go much into details since they are mob characters. For the guild staff, they all got replaced and the one receptionist Yuuta interacted with also became a criminal slave but her sentence was lighter than the GM
I mean punished is deserved but kinda harsh, thought I suppose attacking the MC was a bit far.Guild master finds out Yuuta is the one that beat the red dragon. Would be better in my opinion$20 says that adventurer is 100% wrong and will end up giving credit to some poser. Heck, maybe even a scam artist who’s pretending to be a spirit contractor
nice,
does that still long or we will get there very soon?
Just saying, that wasn't really ever a good argument. Reality is stranger than fiction is a cliche for a reason.Looking at the real world, people who get into power and use their position to attack people, double down when they are wrong, and never apologize for anything. I agree, this whole chapter could have been 5 pages.I feel it kinda ironic that the spirit complained that: "They just kept going back and forth, 'don't go', 'i'll be okay...', and nothing got done"
And that's literally 80% of this chapter as well. They kept going back and forth, and nothing got done.
Feels like a wasted chapter.![]()
I understand, I do think the situation with Trump is likely not at all similar to what is happening in writing due to there being a ton of factors that allow such a situation to happen in the real world. I agree that having such a situation in a story is bad writing, unless you are able to detail enough reason for it to occur, but at that point you either have too much background for people to comfortably follow, or not enough to justify such a situation.Just saying, that wasn't really ever a good argument. I mean, if anyone would depict Trump as he is, you'd think of it as poor writing, and it is, and it's so egregious his entire existence is a bad joke, that just because we can see him with our bare eyes, doesn't mean we have to tolerate it in writing.

I can only think of one situation where this sort of writing is okay, is if there is enough worldbuilding where he is an anomaly within a wide range of people in his position, kind of like he fell through the cracks or there is a issue with that area's guild which is like a corrupt town police in the real world, but there isn't enough other factors in the story to support that.
