Scenes in anime in which characters are overwhelmingly in love with a food type, has always gave me the impression that it may just really be that delicious. But when it comes to alcohol...That just rubs me the wrong way.
Both in the sense that, should you REALLY promote alcohol as this unbelievably delicious nectar of the gods? Ethically? The same goes for anime scenes in which a character goes: "GGUUHHH I REALLY NEEDED TO SMOKE, THIS CIGARETTE (TM), ohm nom SO DELICIOUS."
I get that we're in a bubble of: "anime does anime things haha", but seriously anime tends to normalize some fucked up shit when you think about it.
And also, in the sense that.........It's like 70%~60% alcohol. It's not going to be this ungodly delicious drink. Personally, it's repulsive. I genuinely cannot comprehend how any human being can actually enjoy sifting through alcohol. In my teen years, I'd down alcohol for the sake of getting drunk, not because it tastes good. To this day, I still cannot find straight-alcohol "tasty" on any level. Even beer is pretty boring as a beverage.

different cultures. In Japan they praise drinking to a point t hat going out to drink with coworkers is an informal requirement for a career and smoking is no big deal. Also cigarettes are different and a lot less toxic in Japan

I think my initial outrage was a bit exaggerated, but I also don't think your perspective brings any counter or meaningful insight here...
Just because "smoking and drinking" is valued in Japan's obscene work culture, doesn't mean we need to approve of it, or not criticize these type of messaging when we see them.

the consumption of various intoxicants is not limited to humanity. drone hornets at the end of summer are at the end of their lives, and spend their last, dying days drunk on rotten, fermenting fruit, and they are not the only other species who appreciates alcohol. i mean, where do you think we got the idea from? worry more about living your own life, and less about seeking to control the lives of others. remember, it's their life to live, not yours to control.

yeah, i'm the guppy who sent them 30 bucks, and got a reply saying they couldn't do it, but if i sent them 20 more, the would try reeley hard. being banned would be the least punishment i would recommend. nothing but liars and thieves i say.

i know i’m 3 years late but man begging for money in a very poor translation is pretty pathetic. and it's not even like "any donation helps" it's a straight up price they were demanding. maybe spend more time actually making sure the product you're providing is worth money before begging and trying to manipulate people
