Heh, these tags really like to tease.
But it's common in manga two kinds of romance plots:

1. romance is only implied, it never blooms.
2. the tease with one heroine that shows up early only to rush romance with one heroine that shows only much later.

the first one is why bakamanga tag "romantic subplot" is sometimes needed, authors like to blue ball our hearts

i just love it when they put effort in all the other creatures and then just say no to dragons its just the best
(why cant people put like a little but of effort in drawing dragons)
