And even then it feels so deflated with how it ended up working - makes sense I guess, with how much of a freak his mother was, that she would capitulate to a suicide threat while knowing her son-turned-daughter wouldn't be vying for the man she's obsessed with.

Yeah… Dunno why I thought they were gonna expand on that. Feels stupid to have expected much of substance in that area from something like this. Not that this is the lowest of the low… but y’know. Good for them to have had a happy ending, I guess.

I mean, sure, they agreed… Rather, the mother did, but it felt forced… Think they hinted it at the beginning and such that it should be someone they loved or had chemistry with, but they threw that all out the window already when the old dudes were introduced.

To be fair, she also cheated on him with their own son… Also basically rape since they don’t have the full understanding of consent at that age yet NOR are they the same age. Saying that makes it sound like you’ve read that sort of thing before though, but fair enough if you also just know the premise of it since it IS straightforward. Not that I’ve seen it myself, but it’s pretty obvious based on the way you described it.

Yeah… He PALED in comparison to what his family did and what they’ve shown they WILL do to get what they want. Their personality for this is also very evident when he first confronts his mother before telling her the news that does fit her plans in a sort of way. She will definitely NEVER be within a hundred meter radius of her grandchildren though, that’s for sure, lol.

And don’t forget how his mother was only concerned for only a second, if even concerned at all. Literally went, “This is perfect! So convenient!” and didn’t even bother with love or compatibility anymore like she did before. Maybe it’s because she was in a rush to get a grandchild and heir… but I dunno. Guess that explains her outburst a bit at the end though. The fact that she threw all that away and didn’t bat an eye to letting strangers have their way with him without so much as even comforting him first? Without so much as even HUGGING him first?? No tears, no grief, just a slight bit upset before realizing and forming her new twisted plan of getting an heir. Why is it even so important?? Who even knows, tbh.

All in all, yes, it does make him seem less terrible since we get to see his thought process, motives, reasoning, and so on. Sure, it doesn’t excuse his actions. If anything, it just provides an even bigger and infinitely more messed up person to take the blame and shade in their stead ig.

Although it wasn’t for naught since they did get quite a bit of character development, it still isn’t really giving the vibes of a “complete story”. Sure, it had an ending, but it didn’t evoke much feelings other than reaffirming the fact that “Ah, so it’s because the parents suck ass. Of course, of course…” basically, lol.

Guess part of the reason why it’s off-putting for his mother to have agreed so readily is just because of how abrupt it is. Maybe I already mentioned it, but I guess since it turned out fine for her (she doesn’t know she’d be cut off, if he even had the guts to do it though), she just accepted it in a rush. Anything goes for an heir at that point. Also since she was in favour of love after unrelentingly just sending random men at her son with little regard of his wellbeing. Lol.


Thought at the end that it was them reacting on TV and I was about to say it was the duo who had the four children…but no. They only had two in the finale iirc, and they wouldn’t add more. At least I think so, anyways. Plus, the straight hair looks more like Hasumi if anything. The other characters at the end begs the question if they have that many more stories and instances of this, lmao. Might not fit in with the lore because of the ending possibly implying since there aren’t many more of them in that town lol.

Working theory is that some of the people who actually get their entire face drawn could be the next victim. Who knows, lol tbh.

Doesn’t really address a lot of things though, which is why it’s just okay. If everyone evil got what they deserved and this had an impactful ending…This might’ve been different though, rip. Guess the friend now husband knows everything now, nice. At least the truth being out there for all the relevant characters is great…for them to know, lol idk.

Wonder if they can bear the responsibility of having that many children though. Sure, they love them and have money assuming they weren’t cut off from the fortune, but that isn’t all there is that’s needed to raise a child. Hypothetically. Imma be real with you. I wouldn’t know, lmao. I’m just guessing, tbh.

Some closure for that one girl who taught him all the stuff he needed to know would’ve been nice. Crazy how the mother didn’t just do that herself unless the gender change made her grow more distant with him since she likes boys or whatever. Still though, damn. Maybe it’s a youth and similar age thing that they were thinking of though. Could’ve been that too, I dunno lol.
