i mean other than an appraisal skill like elf girls have and undercutting him i imagine he owns a monopoly or so versus adventurers just getting by on cheaper herbs , or maybe he can switch to a 'healer' class and just cast a healing spell on adventurers who come back/on group missions together tho he's not that much of a vigilante/saint

And with page 18, my interest in this manga is extinguished. There's one in virtually every single JP story. I suppose, however, that I should have known what was coming: it was paired with the MC on the first volume cover.

I like that he's actually doing alchemy and not just making the ingredients glow and then BOOM, healing potion! Cus that's just regular Ole magic.

Even if he did use magic during the process, he still did the actual work, such as boiling and doing things that resembles chemistry
