Man the MC is demonstrating heroic levels of idiocy. It's great.

"Whom shall I make my girlfriend?", wonders Kou. "Should I go for the girl with extreme psychological baggage who will destroy the world if she experiences any strong emotions (positive or negative), or the girl with the big tiddies who agreed to be my obedient fuck-pet with the only proviso being that I don't try to get romantically involved with my childhood friend who could potentially kill all of humanity at basically any time?". He asked himself (somehow not know what the answer should be). "This certainly is a conundrum".

@zerimas I think it's more that he loves his childhood friend and would rather not give up on her. If he had to just go by your logic then yeah, even I wouldn't mind dropping her like a sack of potatoes. Though I do feel like there is a 3rd option we don't know of just yet.

@ ShadenKnight

I forgot about this manga. I sure was salty about 2 years ago. I think I need to revisit it! 😃

What's her secret? Is she a Q... they already did that on Star Trek:TNG. She had to go back to the Q Continuum

You did not genuinely believe this when you posted, right? On the contrary, he should cut all ties with this other girl. As far as he can tell she's with him solely to fufill some obligation rather than out of genuine love for him. Nothing she's done or said would show otherwise. By contrast his childhood friend already has a high opinion of him, an opinion which can be turned into romance with not too much difficulty. The option is very clear, but its the other way around from what you believe
