Well that was a sad cliffhanger, glad hero Alsha didn't die, but that would be a surprising turn of events.

Demon lord being sad over what happened to Alsha, seems she does really care about him.

If the monsters becoming sentient become perverted and still kill humans for fun, then isn't it better to them being feral?

It wouldn't solve the problem, but seeing them just so powerful before becoming self aware it would be hard to keep them in check until they calm down.
Still after achieving sentience, they're not that peaceful, moreover, they will be harder to kept under check.

Alsha lone adventure will be hard, he wouldn't grow faster while being protected by Mao, but on the other hand monsters becoming stronger rapidly make things much harder.
Though cheat sword though, it might help a lot but it's not his strength that will matter but the sword...

did she just treat her sentient, albeit annoying, servant that is a walking history book as a discarded toy? That surely won't bite her in the ass in the future... no sir...
