But didn't they contradict themselves? They said they were easy to control but the first 3 weren't? And then they were researching a new power much powerful than those 3 so that they don't need them again? But they couldn't even control those 3, so what made them so sure they could control the new power?

Thinking logically the divine city researchers were dumb af.
They had super OP spirits, they couldn't control, so they summoned 3 new powers, which again they couldn't control, to make matters worse this triggered the shining ones to lash at them too, then they wanted another power to do WHAT exactly?
What even was their goal?
Control the world? Bitch if you didn't make matters this worse, you wouldn't have the need for more power.
Destroy the world? Well then why seal the 3 origins, they could've done that?
They definitely had some quality zazza.
