So, lemme get this straight... They gave Fear a lethal poison that's, presumably, incurable (but will be anyway, because plot armor) and say she only has 5 minutes left to live. And she's also seemingly unconscious, so is effectively already dead, anyways.

Yet they threaten to kill her to get the MC to destroy his sword. If this were a better written series, the MC would point out how abso-fucking-lutely stupid that is and go on the attack.

Instead, we'll probably get him complying and then 5-10 chapters of "drama" or, if we're lucky, Fear not being quite as dead as we thought and managing to escape so MC can go on the attack.

I'm not holding my breath, though.

The dialogue implies it’s known to be curable and the bad guys are using the antidote as leverage. They literally talk about it.
