I never read anything on Comick. I found this manga thru a youtube recap video. I am guessing the recap video covered at least up to this chapter and that is where I am remembering it from.
One of those channels that never tells you the title's name? xD

Well now I don't know how to feel. She really was a product of her environment, but that doesn't excuse the lives she took. If only she had someone like the MC by her side growing up. Congrats author in the span of one chapter you've made go from being angry that Reina pulled a Suzaku, to making me feel sympathy for diet Cornellia. Unlike Cornellia she doesn't get a chance to redeem herself. 😞
No. There's a massive difference between "conquering" and indiscriminately massacring civilians while laughing hysterically.

Yeah, which Cornellia did as well in Code Geass; Saitama Ghetto massacre to lure out Zero/Lelouch, yet she was given the chance to repent and become a better person. I already said growing up in a harsh environment didn't excuse her actions in my original comment that you were quick to strike.

There is no redemption for these people. The only fate they deserve is becoming a non-person, which is what happened here.
And I will happily strike any comment saying they sympathize with psychopathic mass-murderers who should have a chance to redeem themselves.

I condemned her actions while also understanding that she was literally groomed by her family to become a monster. I understand that if she had someone there for her at a younger age like isekaied MC, she could've been different. MC or the rebels are the only ones who had the right to end her. The Prince seems shady and that is on top of having a darker split personality. Do you believe Reina deserves death as well? She serves said conquers and murders after all, she is willing to stomp out rebels for fighting the status quo.

This chapter made me think so, yes. She heard from her father that the princess was about to commit a massacre and her reaction was to stop the MC, not her.

P.s. To be clear though: Serving the empire by fighting enemy soldiers and willing combatants is completely different for me from murdering civilians, or in this case willingly and knowingly enabling someone else to do so and thus being complicit.

That phrase equivalent to sweet saying "You sound just like Smoke right now!" To CJ, the prince became what he hates, like too many other series..

Funnily enough, Kenya did get her killed. If Reina wasn't busy fighting him, she would've tried to stop them.

Based possession ghost.

Wonder if it's a case of someone getting isekaied into being this guy, but both personalities stuck around, and the isekai guy is the one with the "plan" and who hated his sister.
it's just your common everyday split personality...

shame the princess was not killed by mc, wonder if Reina will join the resistance after this, since she will see what that crazy princess did to all the civilians, since it's her first time in the battlefield

Yeah, no sympathy for Torture Princess. She wasn't only "groomed by her environment." People with the capacity for kindness don't come out of her environment this cruel.

Hey, a split personality plot? That's a convoluted cliché. Though it could also be Lord's reaction to the same cruel environment that produced the torture princess. If he was traumatized but wanted to survive, a split personality is one way to do it. I'll postpone my judgment of this.

Did she die like this in the original game storyline tho? Cuz what did the mc do to make this happen instead otherwise? Why did the dude even decide to shoot her now specifically. Tbh im only annoyed that the mc didnt js kill her in battle instead of her brother with a sudden split personality

We have no idea. However, the idea was that this wasn't supposed to be a passable event. Killing 100 mechs with a base model is meant to be impossible. MC essentially triggered a flag that wasn't supposed to be there in this timeline.

So the prince has a separate personality, most likely how he got so respected in the first place. Apparently he’s killed a ton of people? He must have been a leader on the front lines during the invasion, and then put away his serious personality after the fighting ended.

Oh man, let’s see how Reina gets out of this, we know he’s going to not totally destroy her mech, but he has to make it so she cannot fight any more.

Thank you so much for the translation! This is honestly one of my top 5 manga, it’s just so freaking well done.
