I’ve been putting this off for a while, but it’s actually quite a treat to read. It’s got such a charm to it, and it can actually pull off some really good humor with the dialogue and the references. I genuinely cackled when I recognized what the end of chapter 16 was based on. The start was a bit slow, but it definitely improved over time as the seriousness completely evaporated away from it, so you’re in for a lighthearted and comedic experience once you just get past those first few chapters that lay out the world in a slightly less relaxed tone.
It’s overall an enjoyable read, probably a 8 or 9 out of ten depending on if you can understand some of the more blatant references or not.
