After rereading this, it occurs to me that the chief is pretty ignorant of Callers for someone who claims to be a high-ranking magician. Mages of his caliber are generally academics to some extent, and should be read up on topics like this, shouldn't they?

As class system in this world is not a merits base system but randomly grant, you don't need to be academics to be a mage, thus being a mage is not mean that you have a great amount of knowledge.
Soon they will realize that it's not that they need to kill MC before he enrage a dragon but if they kill MC, thats will make dragon, phoenix and kelpie enrage.
Is it a requirement for mangakas to limit the number or reasonable characters?
The friends, at least, should've remained neutral/warn the MC to leave. Also, considering the dragon hasn't appeared recently and hasn't been away from the house for more than a day... 😅

I was enjoying this up until this chapter.
Not sure if I want to continue, The end of this chapter left me feeling unsatisfied.
I mean this village he was born into and the same village his parents died for, banished the MC from the village.
But on top of that his so called asshole childhood friend spied on him not to see if he was safe to be check if he was alive.
and then the village tried to kill him off.
now I was not expecting the MC and his companions to wipe their village out, but just him going let me live her and keep the village safe and then them walking away without any sort of repercussions at all.
If I was the MC's parents I would be and could see this from the afterlife I would be livid I died for such a village.
can you answer me if your up to date on this, does the village show up again? and does his "childhood friends" get any sort of repercussions to their actions.
Because if no ill probably drop as I know the MC is kind, but there is a limit. I mean who in there right mind would still protect a village that tried to kill him.
as it currently stands unless they do something to really make up for anything, I really do hope something that's not involved with the MC shows up and wipes the whole village out.
