I wish there was mind control magic involved. It would make this work. Like I said before, Art is actually a genius, mastering techniques that should take decades in a short time and developing his own magic as needed for his work. Yet he's acting like an idiot what comes to the Rubedo family. Being raised by them doesn't mean this much, especially since he was used as a slave, which should give birth to a mountain of resentment, not only trauma. But I guess this is the stereotypic Japanese mindset dictating that no matter how much your black company exploits you and drives you to an early grave, you must still worship the ground your scumbag boss walked on. That's some nasty national level brainwashing going on.
