Having said that, I think this series isn't gonna be nearly as dreadful even if we might not encounter any other human.

Yeah, Same here. Because it is the beginning, you don’t know everything. After the post ends, or if a story is after it. They character is usually adjusted to the world, and it becomes the new norm.
